One night, there were 4 very relaxed animals laying down in the kitchen. They were named Molly, Lizzy, Dixie, and Lily. They were chatting about what they should do the next day. If they should rollerskate paint or something like that. Suddenly, they heard their owner’s footsteps, and some other noise. Some other noise that almost scared them straight out of their fur. Then they realized it was just a new pet. Wait a second, A NEW PET! They couldn’t believe it! Molly was most jealous because she was a cat, and the new pet was a cat. Unhappy and angry, Molly commanded the 3 dogs to come into their owner’s room. Lizzy, Dixie, and Lily did what she said because the last time they messed with her they totally regretted
it. They walked around the house, making sure the new pet didn’t hear them, with their poor little paws tired. “Sit, and stay,” Molly told the dogs. “We’re having a meeting.” However, Dixie couldn’t help going crazy over that new cat. “Dixie, I told you to sit down,” Molly scolded. Dixie sat like Molly said. “Molly, do you know what this means,” Lily asked. “Yes. I hate what it means,” Molly said angrily. “A new cat is gong to replace us,” Lizzy sobbed. All Dixie did was growl every time they said something that had to do with the new cat. “We have to do something,” explained Lily. “We have to have a plan to get her out of here!” “You don’t think we were already thinking about that,” said Molly. Lily just rolled her eyes. “Okay, here’s the plan,” Molly explained. “Lily, we need you to distract the cat. You know, act friendly. When she feels like there’s nothing to worry about, Dixie has to try to attack her. If that doesn’t work, I’ll chase her around. She’ll realize we’re the ones who rule around here!” After Molly told the plan, Dixie instantly ran rapidly out the door, as fast as you can blink your eye. The new cat was in the kitchen, and Dixie heard their owners call the cat Ponamu. Lily came into the kitchen and started talking and talking and talking with Ponamu, but she was still jealous. Soon, their owner was walking and almost stepped on Lily! Ponamu had to spring into action! She moved Lily out of the way right before their owner stepped on her. Lily actully liked Ponamu now, but Dixie darted at Ponamu! Dixie was going too fast to realize that Ponamu moved out of the way, and she was about to run into the wall! Right before she ran into the wall, Ponamu caught her when she saw what was happening. Finally, Molly started chasing Ponamu, tried to scratch her, and when she did, she aimed wrong and got her paw stuck in Dixie’s cage! Ponamu came to Molly, and tugged and tugged and tugged until Molly’s paw was out. They all thanked Ponamu for being nice when they were mean, and they all went to get ice cream.
